General Information

Adams Mill Veterinary Hospital is a full service veterinary facility capable of providing comprehensive healthcare to companion animals. The Hospital maintains that health is not merely the absence of disease, pain, infirmity, abnormality, or defect, but the state of optimal physical, mental, and social well-being. The Hospital’s doctors and staff are therefore committed to assisting responsible owners in undertaking those activities which will insure long-term companion animal health.

History

Adams Mill Veterinary Hospital was established in 1993 by D. Marguerite Adams, DVM. After securing a suitable location, Dr. Adams acquired the necessary permits and was guided to the appropriate contractors to totally renovate and fully equip the structure into a new 2,700 square foot hospital in about three months. Her motivation was to provide a warm, friendly, state-of-the-art facility that would serve the companion animal healthcare needs of the many friends/clients who had prompted her initiative. In the spring of 2005, twelve years after its opening, the Hospital expanded to 4,000 square feet.

Adams Mill Veterinary Hospital is pleased to offer comprehensive veterinary healthcare to nearly 5,000 companion animals from Great Falls and its surrounding areas. Its team of four dedicated, highly experienced veterinarians and ten technical and administrative members strive to exceed all clients’ animal healthcare expectations.

Hospital Responsibilities

The Hospital holds itself responsible for advising all clients as to the state of their companion animal’s health and those activities which are required to achieve and retain optimal well-being. Complete, confidential records are maintained concerning client/patient discussions. Staff members stand readily accessible to communicate with and serve the needs of all clients with which the Hospital has an on-going client/patient relationship. The Hospital strives to provide the highest level of companion animal healthcare possible.

The Hospital subscribes to the American Veterinary Medical Association's (AVMA) code of ethics and pledges that "the choices of treatment or animal care should not be influenced by considerations other than the needs of the patient…." All Hospital fees are based upon the quality and value of services provided.  All procedures are discussed with clients prior to courses of treatment being undertaken.

Owner Responsibilities

Clients of the Hospital are known for the intensely personal bond and relationship they have with their companion animals, and the compatibility they have with the Hospital’s philosophy of healthcare. The Hospital enjoys building a partnership with clients. Through that partnership, a high level of client involvement emerges that encourages close monitoring of the companion animal’s physical condition and behavior, and fosters immediate reports of abnormalities or suspect abnormalities so that the hospital staff may provide  advice and/or undertake  initiatives to preclude compromises to a companion animal’s health.
